Ok, I know.
I’m really terrible at the whole being all consistent thing. And every time I come back with a new post (which seems to be coming far and few between- my bad) I always have some major sh*t happening.
This post will be no different.
I ain’t sorry…..
Anywhooo…some major life changing sh*t happened.
*eyeroll* Oops! I meant drumroll!
Yep. You can read and you read that right. Good for you!
Your girl is pregnant. The bae got me preggers. I am in the family way. And it is all rather exciting, let me tell ya! Along with nerve wracking, overwhelming and just generally stressful. But honestly, I feel blessed. I feel like it is divine timing and meant to be and totally not aligned with my self-imposed life plan. But I’m cool with that! Thank you, God/Universe!
Since I found out, other things also happened. Like my condo experienced a plumbing leak in the bathrooms, which caused water damage to the floors in both bathrooms and in an adjoining wall of my living room. So, I had to call my home warranty (strongly advise all homeowners to cop themselves one of those, there home warranties and thank me later-sheesh) and have a plumber come out. He could not reach the actual leak without a hole being placed in the wall (as mad as I was, I could’ve punched a hole in the wall my d*mn self ) so a restoration specialist had to be called to open the wall up and they also had to rip up some of the carpet in the living room. They brought in huge humidifiers and blow dryers to dry of the lingering water, which both left a nice and
loud af relaxing hum that you could not have a decent conversation over. Which was great for me, being the light sleeper that I am. Super fun. Definitely recommend. My bathrooms and living room look kinda terrible.
THEN the restoration specialists helped me call my insurance company so that they could hopefully pay for all of the renovations. The adjuster came out, assessed the damage and cut me a measly check. I then had to call around and have contractors come out and give me estimates (essentially do all the hard work while my insurance company sits pretty) so that I can forward it to the insurance company with the hopes of receiving more money to actually get the damage repaired. Insurance companies give me scammer vibes, man. I hate it. But hopefully I can get everything remodeled before the munchkin arrives later this year.
Well, that is all the major life-changing things happening in my life. What’s new in yours? Let me know in the comments!
